It’s time for a new Flashback, Mortals!
Flashback: Genesis launches today with an awesome 1.5 DPE modifier, and will run for the next three weeks, from 9/9 at 5 AM PT to 9/27 at 5 AM PT. Unlike previous Formats, it will run through the weekend (we’re experimenting here), but will not count towards Weekend Ranked!
During Flashback: Genesis, you’ll only be able to use cards from Welcome, Core, Etherbots, and Genesis. Think you can cook up a killer deck from just four sets? Prove it. Show us how high you can climb!

We also want to call out a few Format specifics before y’all dive in:
- Formats take into account your current Ranked seeding
- For example, if you’re Rank 9 in Ranked, you’ll be Rank 9 in Formats
- Progression in Formats carries over to regular Ranked
- Only players at Rank 7 and above can play Formats
- While playing Formats, players can’t de-rank below Rank 7
- Formats will have DPE modifiers activated, netting you more fragments for wins
- Flashback: Genesis’ DPE modifier is 1.5!
- All promo cards will be banned in Formats
