We’re cutting through to mainstream TCG and strategy gamers with the evolution of our brand. The first stop- Epic Games Store.
Why launch on Epic Game Store?
Gods Unchained’s release on Epic Games Store is a crucial milestone as we aim to place ourselves in popular culture alongside other digital Trading Card Games (TCG) such as Hearthstone, Magic: The Gathering, Yu Gi Oh, Legends Of Runeterra, and more. Following the launch, our game will become easily accessible and discoverable for over 230 million PC users worldwide that comprise the Epic Game Store player base today.
We believe it is hard to overestimate the significance of Gods Unchained’s launch on Epic Games Store, one of the largest PC gaming platforms in the world, and are extremely excited to present our game to the massive audience of traditional PC gamers and TCG enthusiasts. It is a natural continuation of our journey and makes good on our promise to our community to continue to bring Gods Unchained to a new and diverse player base.
Why are we rebranding?
Gods Unchained is cutting through to TCG and strategy mainstream gamers with the evolution of its brand. As one of the OG Web3 games, we’re pioneers in the space.
Since then, we have grown and evolved alongside you and the industry, always pushing boundaries.
With the rebrand, Gods Unchained celebrates the competitive players seeking to master TCG strategy amongst a tightly-knit community, while truly harnessing the power of ownership. It is an opportunity to reflect on that journey so far and create a fresh updated look that would capture the spirit of our community, while still retaining that sense of familiarity- after all we’ve been on the block for a while- think of it as being reassuringly similar.
Something bigger is also in the works- it starts with the colors of our domains.
What has changed?
We’ve sharpened our focus from reaching the wider mainstream, with mid-hardcore mainstream TCG and strategy gamers in mind. Our new brand promise ‘Own Your Journey’ aims at redefining what ownership truly means, especially for non Web3 gamers.
We kept the essence of the previous logo but gave it a modern look as a testament to how far we’ve come and where we’re heading.
The dynamic slash of the A is a nod to the card strike in-game, while showing both an upward trajectory and the cutting through of perceptions to establish ourselves as a bonafide TCG option amongst the traditional titles.
What does this mean for you?
For players, this rebrand is a symbol of our commitment to staying at the forefront of Web3 Gaming, by cutting it with the traditional TCGs.
For our community as a whole, it’s a celebration of all of you who have made this possible, and a welcome to new players who are discovering what Web3 gaming has to offer.
This glow up meant it can be ready to greet you on your mobile notifications or be easily recognisable on gaming platforms you frequent.
Conclusion
Over the next month, you’ll start seeing the visuals being refreshed around our different touchpoints.
You’ll still recognize us, the difference here will be that more people will start to.
TL;DR: We changed our logo.
PS: If you’ve read all the way to the end, here’s an ALPHA: The world’s bigger than we thought.
