Welcome Mortals, to our first foray into a new Format we’re calling Block Constructed!
In this Format, you’ll be allowed to play with cards from the three most recent sets, plus Welcome and Core.

This first iteration of Block Constructed is unique in that you’ll only have access to Tides of Fate, Dread Awakening, Welcome, and Core. Once our next set drops, it will get added into the rotation. Then, the set after that will bump out Tides of Fate, and so on.
Block Constructed will be live this week from 9/2 at 5 AM PT to 9/6 at 5 AM PT, so get those games in while you can. Oh, and don’t forget, Block Constructed has an additional 1.2 DPE modifier for wins! One final note, Tides of Fate's Food Chain is banned for Block Constructed.
We also want to call out a few Format specifics before y’all dive in:
- Formats take into account your current Ranked seeding
- For example, if you’re Rank 9 in Ranked, you’ll be Rank 9 in Formats
- Progression in Formats carries over to regular Ranked
- Only players at Rank 7 and above can play Formats
- While playing Formats, players can’t de-rank below Rank 7
- Formats will have DPE modifiers activated, netting you more fragments for wins
- Block Constructed’s DPE modifier is 1.2!
- All promo cards will be banned in Formats
