The “Gods Unchained Formats: Flashback Genesis” tournament will be hosted on GUStakes, 13th-15th of September 2024. With Alborax (Mythic Variant) to be won, along with a total pool of 5000 $GODS, and select cards. Which mortal will claim the ultimate prize?

FAQS
- After how long after registration will I know my position in the tournament is secured, and what comms are provided, if any?
- After registration, players will be able to see their position in the public bracket, as well as see themselves in the participants list.
- How will I know who my opponent is?
- After the tournament has started, head over to GU Stakes platform and locate Flashback Genesis under Open tournaments. If you have successfully pre-registered, you will see your opponents challenge code under the ‘matches’ tab. Copy and paste the challenge code into the GU Client. Your opponent will be prompted with the same challenge code and notified in the GUStakes Discord to start the match.
- How will I know when my match is?
- Your match will be assigned a time window, where both you and your opponent will need to come together to align on a specific time for the match. This will be done on GUStakes/Discord. Your match must be completed within that time window.
- How can players contact their opponents if they can’t reach them in-match?
- When a player initiates a match, it automatically starts a thread in the GUStakes Discord channel. Use this thread to chat with your opponent.
- What happens if a player has initiated contacted (where and proof?) but does not receive a response from their opponent?
- Please make sure you communicate on Discord, and in the thread assigned to your match. Please make a note you have initiated the match. If a player agrees to a set time and doesnt not show, the player that is attentive will be pushed forward.
- What happens when a match concludes?
- When a player has completed their best of 3 matches they will have a "post win" button within their match tab that will move them onto the next round without any additional intervention. This button is only available to the winner of any given matchup. In the case where there is a forfeit or no show, admins will manually move players onto the next round.
- Will there be streaming?
- There will not be streaming from GU or GUStakes this tournament.
- What if I want to stream?
- If you are planning to stream, please contact us and we will review on a case by case basis on how to support you.
- When are rewards distributed?
- Token rewards ($GODS) will be available to be claimed as soon as the tournament has finalized under the claims tab top left of the menu bar. Finalization is a manual process done by the admin ensuring no foul play.
- Cards will be distributed within 2 business days of tournament completion.
